It's a splendid, heartfelt rant of a sonnet, Sunny. I'm glad you have rain to listen to as a high-desert consolation ... not to mention "antiphonies of light / dawn eloquence among thorns." (Oh, those lines.)
Yup, I guess it needed 15 lines to fit in all foul play done by the "pale brats". Mighty good stuff, perhaps you'll attempt another similar one that chronicles the good we've done, such as it is. It might not take 15 lines, maybe just a haiku. Or a "hiccup" haiku, even shorter, involuntary and lasting every bit as long.
