Dear friends, I apologize for being so absent here over the past few weeks. Most of it has been (and still is) health-related. I’m still waiting for the chance to complete the couple of longer poems I’ve begun recently.
In short (rather literally), please pardon the brevity of this post!
I love watching the cloud layers that form over the valley and float under the mountains.
Below the mountains
are new mesas this morning.
They’ll vanish by noon.
Just a few leaves left:
winter fashions look shabby
by February.
In the bright moonlight
three arms of a saguaro
brush clouds down the sky.
An excited pup
slips one foot through the fence gap,
but I can’t follow!
Red, yellow, green roofs
Step down along the valley;
The sun steps down too.
These are lovely. The first three read like verses of one (haiku) song!
I hope things stabilize for you soon. Thank you for finding the wherewithal to create these small treasures and share them.
