On the Edge of Big Changes... & It's Raining
We are on the final countdown to actually moving to Arizona. For this reason, I’ve been writing less, distracted over boxes and tape and scheduling. Dancing from one room to another with the last stash of books—the ones that were left out till the last moment—now carefully arranged in interlocking stacks like stones in some ancient cairn. Now they will be hidden from eyes till they reach their new home.
But this morning’s rainfall (we look set to get quite a bit over the next few days) brought these few lines.
Rain on the green grass,
Rain in the grey sky;
Greetings from spring pass,
Leaving nothing dry.
While I shall try to keep you all updated here, publication may be more than a little erratic for the next few weeks. Please bear with me!
I should also let you know that I have just restarted my old garden blog in anticipation of a return to desert gardening. In fact, I’ve returned to my original blogging site at https://smallsunnygarden.blogspot.com/ and I’m looking forward to more regular posting on that blog as my sister and I get settled into our new home and I break ground for new plants. I’d love to have you join me there as well.
Wishing you a happy and successful move.
