A Sunny Morning

A lizard and a butterfly
Came out to see the sun.
The sun was shining brightly where
The day had just begun.

And I myself was watching where
The sun was looking down;
The butterfly was softly orange,
The lizard gray and brown.

The lizard scrambled to the fence;
He would not stop or stay;
The butterfly politely paused;
It made a cheerful day.
