Very lovely and a profound sentiment that even though we know this will all end, will all come to nought, we still have that sky to love. I believe your words will long outlive you.

"For though the future may well fall awry

And all our dreams be dust when we are dead,

Do not remember that the sun will die

"For there’s eternity to live, that I

See even upon gossamer’s brief thread

In beauty of the blueness of the sky."

Oh, my heart. ❤️‍🩹

Ooooh, so beautiful and rich with heartache! Also, I just really relate to: "Through my closed eyelids

I still see..." Often, when I've been observing something closely, I close my eyes and watch the imprints linger...(Sometimes, it's hilarious, because I will have spent the day weeding on the farm, and close my eyes only to see endless weed-prints!🤣)

So very glad you've enjoyed these poems, Sydney! I have to laugh about seeing weeds with closed eyes--so spot on! ;-)
