Amy, your poems paint the loveliest picture of the desert....enriching my mental images of dry, hot and dusty Arizona to a place alive with color and scent. Beautiful!

Just enchanting to find an English-traditional lyrical/pastoral poem celebrating spring ... in the American southwest! Why ever not? And you make it work so well....

I have to laugh because, yes, indeed I've been submerging myself in the pastoral English (and Irish a bit) poets lately. It will come out in my own work, and it is fun to draw the mesquites and such into that tradition. I love those poets and their singing quality.
