That’s super interesting. I’ve never started with a finishing line. Did you know it would be the end after your wrote, or did you just know it wasn’t the beginning?
I was fairly sure they weren't the first couple of lines, which meant I had to find starting lines and then try to control the flow toward them. Since they were at the core of the poem's idea, it worked best to use them as the conclusion. That's probably the first time I've tried that... ;-)
I got such a smile from watching those quail with their toy trumpets.
