Both of these poems so beautifully paint scenes from the ineffable desert. In a few more wet weeks, I’ll be ready to get a break from the rainy PNW, and seek some desert respite

Birdsong!

We've also had mockingbirds arrive recently, so there are all sorts of bird songs to be heard... in rapid succession!
Ed: I've just learned that phainopeplas also imitate mockingbirds! That raises some questions... ;-)
