I do have moments of feeling, "What's the point? No one cares about what you do..." and so on, it goes, the spiral of despair during times of distraction, whatever they may be (these days there are plenty.) But as soon as I feel that way, I get right back into writing or creating art in some form, (as I have several visual/tactile projects in the studio). I do it for my well being, and if anything that I do ever helps someone else to find joy or inspiration to follow their bliss, then I'm glad to have made a difference. I do hope you get rain. I wish I could send you ours, we've had too much. We're going to have our first heat wave of the summer starting sometime today (I guess, once it stops raining.)
Thanks for your kind words and understanding... and you're right: those real life things--the ones we can see and touch and really think about--are the best way to keep going forward. It looks like we have a small chance for some rain here; I'll try not to send you any of our heat in return, though! ;-) Hope you have a lovely week!
It is hard when the world seems to have slipped off its sanity axis. I find focusing on small beauties, and larger ones, like your poetry definitely help. Our weather is as crazy as the world right now, we are allegedly in the middle of a heatwave and I am quite cold!
It's all the worst kind of mad mayhem right now. I think I need to be reading more poetry and less news, and of course giving treats to the pups and horses, which also helps immensely. xxx
Each of these is lovely, thank you. The yucca blossoms are out now and they are a treasure to see. We leave these mountains and Colorado behind in one week. 😢 A challenging time and pack is no fun.
I've come to love yucca, especially in bloom; they really are a treasure. You have my fervent sympathy with the packing and moving! I hope the process isn't too stressful and that you're soon settling in to enjoy a new place and new things to love!

Thank you Amy, we are looking forward to looking back on this move.
